Define Your Style

At She Can, we are here to help you define your style as we believe it is not what you want other people to feel about your appearance but how your style makes you think about yourself.

Whether it is a statement outfit, stand-out jewelry, casual tailoring, bold and bright, mixed colors, or sharp black and white definitions, they all say something about how we feel inside. Your style doesn’t determine who you are but who you are determines your style.

Well, there is scientific research that validates this. Enclothed cognition is a term used to describe how our clothes affect various psychological processes like emotions,

attitudes, and interpersonal interactions. Such as the color of our clothes affects our moods. Formal clothing helps us to feel more powerful; casual clothing encourages agreeableness. Even underwear can increase confidence.

Wearing something can subtly affect our thoughts and behavior because we evaluate ourselves on what we are wearing at a particular time.

Reflect for a moment and ask yourself the following:

Would you agree you match your clothes to how you want to appear, such as traditional, playful, relaxed, or forward-thinking?When you walk into a crowded room, do you want to blend in, make a statement, appear casual and relaxed or exude power, or be animated?

Would you agree the style you choose best describes who you are, such as fun and playful, minimalist, conservative, or casual and relaxed?

Would you agree, style is not what you want other people to feel about your appearance but how your style makes you think about yourself?

It’s your style, your story.
